The next meetings of the Parish Council will be at 7.00pm on Tuesday 4th February 2025
and Tuesday 4th March 2025, at Longrove Scout Site, Byslips Road, Studham, Dunstable LU6 2ND

PARISH COUNCIL PRECEPT 2025/26
At its meeting on Tuesday 7th January 2025, the Parish Council approved its Budget for 2025/26 and a Precept of £26,997. This is an increase of £997 or 3.8% and equates to an increase in the Parish element of Council Tax of 3.4% – £1.29 from £38.18 to £39.47 for a Band D property.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (CBC) & OFFICE OF THE POLICE AND CRIME COMMISSIONER (OPCC) BUDGETS
CBC and OPCC are currently considering their budgets and precepts for 2025/26. CBC is proposing an increase of 5 per cent, made up of 2 per cent for adult social care services only and 3 per cent for other council services. For a Band D property this increase would equate to £87.44, from £1,752.30 to £1,839.74. OPCC is proposing a 5.28% increase. For a Band D property this increase would equate to £14.00, from £265.09 to £279.09.

DEFIBRILLATOR TRAINING
The Parish Council Defibrillator locations are Post outside 5 Holywell Road; The Red Lion, Church Road; and Studham Sports and Social Club, Clements End Road. We are looking to organise defibrillator training for both existing volunteers and other residents. If you would be interested in attending, please email clerk@studhamparish.co.uk

WINTER SALTING
If you would be interested in joining the team of volunteers that salt pavements and footways in the parish please email clerk@studhamparish.co.uk There is a particular need for volunteers in the vicinity of the following salt bins: Village Centre; School Lane; Valley Road / Common Road; and Valley Road/Church Road.

OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT
The Parish Council has recently been looking at ways in which we can all help to reduce our carbon footprint, and the Council website and the parish email will provide some hints and tips by making some small changes to the way we live. For more information, please email clerk@studhamparish.co.uk
